They harvest only from fallen Bursera graveolens trees that have been lying on the forest floor long enough for the oils to fully develop. No living trees are cut. In recent years, this co-op has replanted over 12,000 trees in the same forest they harvest from. The oil that results is not the mass-market version you find on Amazon — it's a genuine, full-spectrum essential oil with the complexity and depth the plant is known for.
